Addressing a huge gathering at the Navy Day celebration at the Blue Flag Beach at Puri in Odisha this

evening, the President said, that India’s economy is full of promises and hopes as its fortune, glory and identity are defined by the seas. She hoped the Indian Navy would continue to protect India’s economic growth and our interest in expanding across the globe by maritime trade. President Murmu said India is a great maritime nation with its long coastline, island territory and developed maritime infrastructure. She said India has become a pioneer in oceanic transport, shipbuilding and the ability to harness the monsoonbuilding sea capacity. The
